@tomas209ca Thanks Tomas.  I guess my question is: Is there any way to obtain the USB information from the MX64 or from the meraki dashboard?   ... View more

@tomas209ca  i used the device manager and thru hardware id and you see the info of the USB modem   Can you elaborate on this for me?  I have many USB730L deployed remotely and I would like to know which card is in each of my MX64w.  I need to obtain the SIM, device ID or phone number for each of the USBs.  Thank you! ... VPP problem: The sToken has been revoked

So it looks like my VPP token has been revoked.  No big deal, just get an updated token.  The issue is that when I go to sign in to the Apple Business portal I get the message "Your AppleID is not allowed to sign in to this application."  I am using the correct AppleID shown under Organization > Configure > MDM > Apple VPP Accounts     Is the correct AppleID not listed?  Is there any other way to tell what AppleID was used if the incorrect AppleID is listed?   Or is there a way to change the listed AppleID so that I can sign in to the business portal?     Thanks! ... Re: Apple Push Certificate Issue - cannot access Apple ID used to create

@BlakeRichardson  Yes, sure did.  He created an Apple ID just for the push certificate and we did not have the Apple ID in our records anywhere.  There is a field on the Meraki Organization/MDM page for the AppleID used to create the certificate.  However, this field is simply notational and there is no validation behind it - it is just a reminder.  Furthermore, if you click update in this section, Chrome Autofill will try to write your user id into this field.   Thankfully this field is tracked in the Change Log and I was able to go back into the log and find the original AppleID that he had entered.   ... Thanks @BlakeRichardson   I believe the cell number is tied to a personal phone of a former employee.  We have tried reaching out to him to get the PIN but no luck.   We are going to reach out to Apple but I am not very optimistic that they will help us.     Assuming neither of those pan out, we have 80 iPads out in the field that will need to be re-registered.  These are all DEP devices so am I correct that these will need to be wiped and reloaded from scratch?  There is no way to manually re-register a DEP device, correct?   Thanks again     ... Apple Push Certificate Issue - cannot access Apple ID used to create

My Apple push notification cert is expiring in 7 days so I went to renew it.  I have the Apple ID and password used to create the cert but when I try to login to the APNS portal, it requires two factor authorization.  I do not have access to the trusted device for that Apple ID nor do we have a recovery key.  I realize this is probably an Apple issue but looking for help if someone has been down this path before.  Thank you!   Steve ... Re: VPP Apps not updating correctly

Thanks, I understand VPP is used to license the app.  When using device management without an Apple ID deployed on the iPad, the app version is definitely controlled under Systems Manager/App settings and not through the App Store - at least is used to be.  ... View more

VPP Apps not updating correctly

I have a few apps assigned through VPP and I noticed the update behavior has recently changed.      The app is successfully setup in VPP.  Under Systems Manager/Apps, the app currently shows version v3.38.  The "keep app up to date" option is NOT checked, and the Purchase method is VPP device assignment.  The current version for the app in the Apple App Store is v4.2.  Until recently, deploying the app through Systems Manager would push the 3.38 version as this is the current version setup in VPP.  For example, if I setup a new iPad or factory reset an older one, v3.38 would be pushed to the iPad.     Sometime recently this changed.  Pushing the app down from SM now deploys version 4.2, which is the version in App Store.  It seems to be bypassing the VPP setup completely.  I have tried this on several iPads and the results are the same. This is a problem as we need to control the deployment of the app independently from the App Store availability.   Any ideas why an update would be pushing the App Store version down and not the VPP version down as it did in the past?   Many thanks!
