Right, but never hurts to have more competition and integration with existing Meraki Dashboard would be nice to have. Desk phones are still needed since softphones (like the apps u mentioned) aren't always adequate replacements. Apparently, you cannot have two MDM profiles on Windows 10. There's also the issue of authentication. Meraki does not support Azure Active Directory."   I've tried deploying the VPN using System Manager (Meraki MDM) to no avail due to requiring Windows Profile and we cannot accomplish this due to enrollment with Exchange Online/MS365 Intune.   I've tried configuring the deployment via MS Intune due to the SM limitation but it requires the use of EAP XML which our Meraki VPN relies on L2TP/PSK with AD User Authentication over Radius. I used the native Windows client VPN.I have not seen the option of using AnyConnect with Meraki MX..are you saying that is now a new option available as I know it's been requested many a time but never came through. Your link redirects to a login I don't have access to.   I believe there are other options aside from the Microsoft Authenticator App such as text message etc. and that is configured within O365/Azure AD.   Yes I definitely increased the radius timeout to 60 secs as I believe the default is something like 5 secs, 3 times so 15 secs total. Support must be on the phone to do so btw, cannot be completed via email/case comments.     ... View more

Thanks for the writeup and scripts provided @PhilipDAth this really helps fill a void that should already be present via a "backup config" button somewhere on the dashboard from Meraki out of the box. As user friendly the Meraki line is, one would think this simple option would be made available to satisfy backup config requests from auditors and such for financial institutions and others.   I completed the steps and successfully generated the restore file. The only warnings i received referenced MX VLANs disabled - wont be able to restore IP addressing. Does this mean if a restore is actually done, no ip addresses will be restored? Or can you elaborate on the warning message?   Also, to avoid overwriting networks, is all that is required to restore to a tentative backup network changing the name of the network referenced (in my case 4 times) to something else and a new network name will appear in the dashboard?   Thanks again! ...
