After raising a support case with Cisco, this was resolved. The problem was the user had a certificate which was causing the Cisco parser to fail. Once the certificate was removed all working fine.

We still have the same Auth Internal Error for some devices using the latest Secure Connect VPN client. We do have the latest added for the posture. I did think that the latest Windows updates could have caused this, but have tested with my own device remotely using the lates Windows 11 25H2 release and do not get the error. The logs do not give much away either...just says failed.

We noticed this issue on Friday 17th October with 3 remote users so not sure if it was AWS outage today. The only change to the 3 users was the Windows update - 2025—KB5066835 (OS Builds 26200.6899 and 26100.6899) I will check with the users effected.

Of course....what a silly Billy.......added the ip addresses with TCP protocol and now Sensor is showing as healthy. I see you have made more Secure Connect Vids on YouTube......lets have some more please 🙂 Thanks for your help Sahand.

Hello Schalabi, I hope you are well. I haven't taken any pcaps on the LAN interfaces as yet - it seems strange that when there is no auto VPN tunnel the sensors are able to communicate fine and we didn't have to create any inbound routes as the Artic Wolf engineer is asking. Above are the exclusions from Artic Wolf - they generally like the DNS to be added rather than the ip range as these can change.

Hello All, I hope you are all well. I have been continuing testing the Cisco Secure connect sites and the default route scenario. I had a few issues when enabling the default route with Meraki switches not communicating out to the Meraki cloud and Meraki APs showing as the wrong country...but the good people of Meraki support have resolved these problems and pointed me to the VPN exclusion...which worked. However, I am still scratching my head as to why our Arctic Wolf sensors have now gone offline. I have added all the exclusions from Arctic Wolf whitepapers also to the VPN exclusion list and have also created a firewall rule and DNS policy to allow the AW sensors outbound traffic. Speaking with Arctic Wolf support they have said that I need to allow inbound traffic to the sensors.....this is strange as before with just the MX's the only exclusion was added to the Meraki outbound rule. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Thanks for both of your replies - once tested over the weekend I can see that it is using the IDP which I have set up with Entra - just need to sort out the Duo push between Duo and Entra similar to how we have 2fa on O365.

Hello all..I hope you are all well. I am new to the forum and new to Cisco Secure connect. I have been watching as many videos as I can and reading as much as possible to learn about how to implement secure connect and how Umbrella fits in. I would say the only frustration part is when connecting to support...which one is it ....Meraki...or Umbrella 🙂 Any hows..this is the question I need to resolve, and it could be my lack of understanding of how Secure Connect is suppose to authenticate remote users via secure connect client. I have added all of our offices to secure connect sites and will be enabling the site routes so all traffic has a VPN tunnel straight to the Cisco cloud. For remote access and from the information available it looks fairly straight forward to implement for our remote workers via secure connect client., however there seems to be no info on 2fa. At present we are using AnyConnect as the VPN with a Meraki MX as the head end, along with Radius to an internal Duo authentication proxy server and Duo push notifications. I know when we start using the Cisco cloud the idea is to have flexibility of which head end the remote users will connect to via VPN for authentication. Any info...words of wisdom...whitepapers would be extremely grateful.
