I'm still struggling to get postman to do what i want it to do with Profiles. Having 70 locations, i have to go through each on in turn to update the Profiles etc. I even used ChatGPT to see if that could guide me, it came back with something but i couldn't follow it and get it to update as required - sadly. i've just been looking into the same thing. we have 165 MT10 sensors in 70 locations. I'm looking to update all of the Alert Profiles with Scheduled times for alerting. We found the frequency of the notifications was a driver for setting the thresholds for the values. Cleaning products were never and issue in terms of values recorded. If these values are so high as to trigger notifications then the Cleaning products could potentially be incorrectly used risking the health of staff! Our use case for the MT14 was in the Changing rooms of a School Sport facility, used by Secondary aged Pupils 11yrs - 16yrs Because this was a closed room the values would peak in an instant. Being a closed space, with what appeared to be little ventilation the PM would linger and go down very very slowly. As the threshold for the notifcations was in constant breach, they would receive spam like amounts. Therefore we set the values a little higher, and the time between them a little more. The problem was such, they have now decided to remove them, as they are understaffed and cannot manage the false accounts of vaping, and the number of triggered events. This however is only going to be detrimental to the health of pupils vaping. Education in the risks of using such devices is ultimately where this needs to go.  ... View more

Because our Routing, and access to the internet is hosted/managed by a 3rd party. Their equipment would be required to be online 24/7 - our routing would be then patched into this. Critical servers, and services would then be maintained through that connection. We would then look to host a Meraki AP through that device to serve the MT30. Although the aspiration is for NetZero its not possible to power off Everything - we are also pushing for onsite Solar, and battery storage, which would have to be large enough to power Servers etc as required. ... We would love to use the MT30 as a method to fire backup network switches and wireless APs on the network. Not found a method to allow for this as yet. MT30 won't allow for override Scheduled ports - AP's are shutdown overnight and majority of the weekend. Also wish to use MT40 Power sensor to powerdown the network switches, need a button method to bring these back online when required. thanks   ... View more

I've already run these through Postman, and i'm just not getting the information I would like. Whilst using Cisco switching we were able to reset counters and that was used for good measure. We were able to work out when the ports were used last, or at all. Then remove older connections to clear cabs of unwanted patching etc. thanks ... View more

We are now using the onboard scheduling which works via the Meraki Dashboard. This appears to work well so far. Been running for 2 months without issue. Some of our charge stations have in build timers - would be worth checking for these aswell. ... View more

we currently have 2 x MT40 on POC. We were using these to understand power usage on different types of MS deployed with APs and without. Also utilised this device to see if it would benefit powering down Photocopiers overnight. We are not using these to power down two switches in two sites. One is used to power down the Switch and All APs using the new onboard schedules. Second is powering down an MS225 to see if there is any significant power savings - with a view to roling this out to the wider estate and powering down during none working hours. This would be of great benefit to us. We are about to embark on building a new Operational Net Zero Special Educational School, and from the outset there has been talk of Powering down the Network Completely. We already rely on Port schedules, and have a POC for the MT40 sensors at two sites, with a view to extending this further out to other networks and switches. This new site the Meraki will be powered down almost 100% - incase of Weekend or emergency working then the operation of an MT30 button to power everything back on would work well for us. ...
