Hi there I managed to get a 5Watt 12Volt light to light up via a PoE port on a Meraki switch. I used a PoE splitter in the middle to get this to work. I have not had the time or energy to play around with the button. Maybe I will pursue this again next year. But in theory if you have this type of set up with a PoE splitter in the middle then you should be able to switch that particular port (or group of ports) on and off. If Meraki can create something seamless then it will be great! Cheers

Hi all I am busy developing a product where I pull power from the PoE port of a switch and then convert it to 12V DC with a light on the other end. I then want to use the MT30 button to switch the lights on and off by switching the particular port on and off. Would you be interested in something like this? I think its especially useful for remote areas where there are high sites and containers and you need light. Depending on the Wattage of the port you can easily put 3 or 4 5Watt LEDs on one port Cheers

Good day Can someone show me what the API string looks like that power the MT40 up and down? I am experimenting with Node Red. I have a MV2 that sends a signal to a MQTT broker. When there is movement then a API call must be made to the MT40 to switch it on. If no movement is detected in 5 minutes then it must switch the MT40 off. Thanks in advance!

Hi there I have Python 3.12.3 on a Ubuntu 24.04 VM. I would like to install pip3 but Ubuntu gives me an error. The error is "externally-managed-environment" It says if I do want to install it then I can risk instaling it with --break-system-packages And then it gives the hint of "See PEP 668 for the detailed specification" What must I do to fix this or which Python version does not gives this error.
