Hi, Has anyone ever done a migration from Fortigate to Meraki before? How does anyone copy line by line, item by item from the Fortigate to the Meraki? I have done migrations from Juniper to Fortigate, but when I was asked to prepare to migrate from Fortigate to Meraki, I was stuck. How does one create policy address and services? How do we specify interzone policies? I've been trying to figure it out the whole afternoon but I'm still scratching my head.. Are there any documentations around that can help with that? Just a quick update I encountered a whole new lot of new problems after I meddled around with the port profiles, SSIDs, etc. 1. My clients are experiencing Multiple DHCP servers. 2. I could not remove/disable the SSID (wired) I created for the purpose of putting through multiple VLANs on. This is still true after I have removed the SSID from the port profiles that I have created, disassociated the SSID from all ports and lastly deleted that port profile that used to contain the SSID. 3. The MR33 at the end of this MR30H remains a repeater and that's not good. Anyone has any other solutions for me?

Hi, Today I encountered another issue. I have a few MR30H deployed in a school environment and since the MR30H has 4 ports, I tried configuring the ports. However, I realised that whenever I enabled 1 port, I was only allowed to choose 1 SSID, which does not make any sense to me. I am looking connecting a MR33 to this MR30H BUT this MR33 became a repeater taking the MR30H as a gateway. I need to configure port 1 as trunk as I would be connecting it to a MR33 another 20 to 30m away from the MR30H. Could someone please teach me how to do so? Thanks and appreciated. Felix

I'm experiencing this issue currently with my clients. Their APs are currently running firmware 25.11. Did anyone get their problem solved after going to 25.12 or do we have to switch off client balancing to see a change?

I still could not get the backpack payload to appear using the profile that I created earlier. I only have 10 options to choose from. My target scope is set to MacOS only. But when I created a new profile, with no restrictions on the target scope, backpack appears as one of the options. Are there devices that do not support backpack?

Hey guys, Is the Meraki Backpack still available? I followed the following document to try to set up my backpack so that I could get files pushed down to all my newly enrolled devices, however, I got stuck at the part where I am suppose to select "Backpack item" payload. https://documentation.meraki.com/SM/Profiles_and_Settings/Backpack_Setup Seems like it has been removed. If this option is still available, can anyone guide me where to find the option? Thanks and appreciated. Felix

Hi @ph0t0g, I will be emailing them with all the info I have gathered so far. As for the packet capture file, I'll leave that till tonight when everyone is out of the office before disabling the policy that's currently in place to block the pings from going to Google DNS. After that i'll post the packet capture here.

Hi @ph0t0g, Nope i still havent got on the phone with Meraki support. We created a rule to deny that Meraki Switch from ping-ing 8.8.8.8 . That stopped everything, but the ping action is still continuing. From the picture below, it shows that in the past hour, 3500+ pings were denied. And if you allow the ping to build up, it would hit my threshold of 70Mb and boom, the whole network goes down. Am I experiencing a ping flood attack from Meraki? Any recommendations on what to do next? Thanks in advance. Felix

Today I experienced slow internet connection at one of my managed sites. Then I found that there was a large amount of pings being sent from my switch. The ping size to Google DNS went up to 70MB at its peak! I restarted the switch but the ping would start to accumulate again. From 84B it is slowly accumulating till it reaches its peak. I have been trying to get on the phone with Meraki Tech Support but no one is answering.

Hi, A few Meraki Switching in my Network has been sending out pings to Google DNS for at least the past 3 to 4 hours. I have tried to restart the switch, but it doesnt work. The ping size would start to accumulate from 84b to 1.68kb, so on and so fro. This is crippling all my networks as they start to experience slow internet connections. I have never experienced this before having deployed so many meraki switches. Is anyone experiencing the same issue? I have tried to call Meraki support but have been listening to the same tune for almost 2 hours now. Experts, HELP PLEASE!!

Nope i didn't reinstall or upgrade my windows or do any updates. The day before it was working and suddenly out of a sudden it refused connection.

I deleted the connection and went through the same steps of creating another Client VPN tunnel and it worked. I had the VPN tunnel set up for quite awhile now, then today it stopped working.

Hi, I have a problem with my Client VPN. Can someone help me with the troubleshooting this? I was previously able to connect but today when I tried to connect, it gave me the following error. Hi, I recently purchased a NAS for my home use and I would like to have my NAS found with a domain name. However, I do not have a static IP address, therefore I'm looking at using the services from NO-IP. And the problem begins, my MX64 is xxxxx-gcjdzzbgjh.dynamic-m.com. I would like to have my MX64 display my domain. How should I go about doing it? Anyone help? Thanks Felix

Hi there.. I recently received my full suite of Meraki equipment after attending the CMNA course. So I've been exploring the functions of Meraki and I found something really annoying. Can someone tell me how do you kick someone off the network in the Meraki Dashboard? I've been looking high and low, left and right, but there seems to be no way to kick clients off my network.
