well the good news is that it hasnt started yet, im working on it now. Im not seeing anything on any of these switches that show them as having hybrid ports. thank you for all your help

Hi everyone, i am in process of getting rid of HORRIBLE hp switches and moved to Meraki MS250s. Ive never worked with HP switches, but I see that most of them have the following config: vlan 1 untagged (computers, servers) vlan 5 tagged (phones) If this were to translate to Meraki world, would it be Access Vlan: 1 Voice Vlan: 5

I just want to make sure turning on options inside of Meraki doenst have any kind of downtime... i get like 1 hour a month for maintenance. i didnt think it would, but i always double check and ask

If you enable SNMP v1/v2, is there any kind of downtime with that? For whatever reason it was never enabled before... thank you!

Hi everyone, We have the following setup: Cisco 9372 -----------------------Meraki ms250 ---------- rockwell switch with 7-10 clients/machines plugged into it. Currently, I have that port on the ms250 as an access port / vlan 200 but no STP guard set... Would this be the recommended config? or is there a better way to set it up?

Hi Everyone, I'd like to start getting dual uplinks to my IDFs as I upgrade them. I have 2 9372 Cisco switches that form a VPC. Right now I just one uplink into my MS120, I would like to add the 2nd. I have them already setup for a VPC between the 2 ports. When i do this, I just need to aggregate the uplinks? I have attached a pic of what I would like to do.

I think i have been able to determine using packet capture that the TCNs are happening on the VPC between the 2 9372s.

Hi everyone, hoping for some help, guidance. I have a mix network of catalyst 2960s and MS250 / 120 switches. My MS250s that are plugged into 9372 Core 1 always have a High Rate of STP topology changes on port XX.. When I plug them into 9372 Core 2 they don't. Core 1 is my root bridge. I'm not sure how to tackle this as it doesnt seem to be harming anything, but I dont have it in me to stop trying to fix it. I have attached a bad depiction of my network in below:

Hey everyone, I'd to like to get some QOS setup on my network.. currently we are running a mix of Catalyst 2960s and MS250s. I know we have QOS set on the 2960s for Voice (CUCM) but currently I dont have any on the Meraki side. I would like to get that setup, and maybe some QOS for my camera VLAN as well... If anyone had recommendations on what settings to use / apply, that would be great!

hey guys, We currently run ms250s at our main facility, but I would like to run some ms225s at our remote sites... I know that the ms225s dont support L3, but I think thats about the main difference. Currently all over our Vlans are defined on Cisco Firepower anyway... so the ms225 should be a good option right?

DarrenOC, the 250s are already up and operational.. they are just connected to a 2960 and not the nexus. I just wanted to ensure there would be no issues to move the fiber to give them a home run back to the Nexus.

Hey everyone, my current setup for my MS250 stack is this: Nexus 9000 -----------Cisco 2960--------------MS250 Stack MDF Shipping New Shipping This was setup like this in haste to get New Shipping online.. Today I was able to get New Shipping setup with it's own fiber, but I havent made the switch to this yet: Nexus 9000----------------MS250 Is there any potential issue with doing this? The MS250 already sees the Nexus 9000 as the root bridge, and if I can quickly / safely make the change I wont have to come in on the weekend.

PhilipDAth, the 2 9372 switches are backplanned together... but switch 1 has the lowest priority.. im assuming i just need to run that command on there?

CMR, if you change the priority to 0 on the Nexus switches, does that involve any kind of downtime?
