You need a licence for Meraki hardware. If this is a replacement for an MR16 that has a licence, you can simply add the serial to the organisation and plug it into any router. Iit doesn't need to be onsite/plugged into the network to upgrade the firmware etc. It will pull all the settings from the dashboard.

I had a similar issue and purchased a dongle from Amazon that the seller specifically said it would work with MX64. The previously purchased dongles wouldn't work. I also found (although it was O2) that I had to plug in the dongle into a laptop and activate it with software for data to start working with O2.

Integrated LTE is great and I welcome the extra throughput. Worth the upgrade next year. I would like to see some further software updates such SSL VPN but also allowing the use of an iPhone for backup WAN. Our internet rarely goes down, and if it does most of us hotspot to our phones and then VPN to the DC. It would be much better if one of us could simply plug in our iPhone and use 4G that way.

Just wondering if this is happening to anyone else? Received email last week to join the Quarterly, registered through the partner portal. No email received, so thought I would log in around 13:50 to click on the link. No link, but then thought hey, it's 8am PST which is 4pm UK. Ah, my mistake! My setup on the office network were blocking the APs marking them as Rogue. Whitelisted the APs and all working. Oops, can't believe I forgot to check that.... Thanks for your suggestions though.

No splash page. I should also add that I get the "incorrect password" on the private SSID as well, and I'm 100% sure it's correct. I've even changed it a couple times and waited for 30 minutes.

Hi there, Bit of a strange one. I'm testing/pre-setup for a customer. I've set up the new Organisation and network, assigned the AP to the network. I've created a private and public SSID (the latter has no encryption). I've plugged it into one of my meraki switches to get a connection to the cloud to download the configuration. I can see the two SSIDs (public with no encryption). However, when I try to connect it with an iPhone or Android phone it's coming up with password incorrect (even on public SSID). I've now added an old MR16 to the org and network and I'm getting the same result. Any ideas? Thanks, Chris

Agree, contact support ASAP. You should be able to keep devices in the organisation (but not assigned to a network) without implications for licencing.

I've had the same issue with our iPhones and iPads. One thing I tried was to check "auto join network", but this didn't seem to fix things. We ended up removing the wifi settings from the profile. Any ideas other ideas would be great.

This is my issue as well. We have a mix of MR33s + some older MR24s/MR16s for a client. I have tried the 25.5/6 on our office network (two MR52s) and found that MacBook Pros and some iPads will simply not connect to the wifi. We reverted back to the latest production version and no problems. Not sure I really want to take that risk for production kit not at our office.

Hi @Dashboard_DJ Many thanks for the detailed steps below. I've been able to add the route on the MX84 (the next hop I put as the local IP address of the MX84). However, on the route table screen it is highlighted red with no connectivity. Now also when I remote desktop to a local Windows client of the MX84, the IP for b.b.b.b is inaccessible. When I remove the static route, the Windows client can access b.b.b.b. Have I chosen an incorrect Next Hop IP? Thanks, Chris

Hi there, Been using Meraki for nearly 2 years now and very happy with the kit. We have a MX84 in a datacentre with IP a.a.a.a. We have a number of other MX and Z1 in our organisation. Site to Site is working great, however what we would like to do is for specific IP address, b.b.b.b we would like to route all traffic destined for that IP through the MX84. For example, a client on network 2 behind a MX65, when they try to access b.b.b.b they appear from the MX84 device and not the IP address of the MX65 WAN. Our client (who runs b.b.b.b) blocks their equipment for public IPs unless in a whitelist. Some of our MX/Z1 are on dynamic IPs, so I am hoping to route through the MX. I don't want want to route *all* traffic through the MX, only VPN or for b.b.b.b. I've tried creating static routes, but that hasn't worked. Thanks, Chris
