As @Nash stated just check your "firewall and traffic shaping" rules for wifi and make sure this is set to Deny.

You can just create an SSID and use Meraki DHCP which separates everything from your internal network? If you're just trying to have segregation it would be the simplest and fastest way to setup. You can try it on your "Test" SSID and see how it works.

End result. We had 124 clients on one AP and 104 clients on the second. They are just doing a survey fyi. I had one user who had a little lag but when I refreshed browser she was ok again. I did however do a little bandwidth shaping on the SSID I have for teachers. It went very well and it's good to see that even with that volume of users Meraki can handle the load. Thanks @vassallon @PhilipDAth @BrandonS for all the help/advice/input.

@jdsilva is right. You should be able to just get the LAN IP if a DHCP server is present or you give it a LAN address. I've tried it on my side and got our internal LAN address which I statically changed to our WAN IP.

Hey guys, Just need some opinions. So we have a community meeting where we are maybe 180 in an auditorium where I have two MR42's in place. Granted I've never had any issues before but want to know if 2 APs is considered "ok" for that volume of people. There's a simple survey we are going to do and I don't think 100% of the 180 will bring their laptops. Any thoughts? I know that safe spot usually is 30 clients per AP

As @PhilipDAth mentioned just make sure your IP info is correct. One digit can mean a lot.

What happens when you try to go online? Any errors, does it even make it out, or did you test your VLAN to make sure it is properly configured?

@Banfield75 That would be nice. They already have the motion feature so I'm sure it would be something that they are working on. They are doing good on the security end with these cameras so they probably get the same question on object detection.

1. Too many SSID's causes overhead. https://documentation.meraki.com/MR/WiFi_Basics_and_Best_Practices/Multi-SSID_Deployment_Considerations 2. If you go to Wireless - Access Control you can see all the options there. From what you're telling me I think setting up a "Splash Page" with Meraki authentication would be a good option for you. You can use 1 SSID and control users by either having them sign up or making an email you can assign them.
