Hi @MJW ,   The reason your apps are disappearing is because you have in your profile that a PIN is required, as your users do not have one the MDM is deciding to remove all your apps. We have the same issue, so needed to separate out our profiles. This in my opinion is stupid and should be optional.   The second issue to get around the above issue (to avoid a factory reset); certain builds of Android comes with built-in keyboard apps. But when you use the whitelist Apps profile feature, this hides the built in keyboard.   As you have mentioned swiftkey, which is a very popular choice for vendors, you need to whitelist it too: "com.touchtype.swiftkey".   I hope this helps.   Thank you, Peter James ... HI @SteveGB ,   We have always used device-based VPP and whilst the App page itself requires to have the button 'Refresh Details' pressed to update, all installs will be the latest version available.   When an App install (an update is actually the same command) is triggered, all Meraki does is talk to the Apple API's which then pushes the App meta data to the device, and then the device works out which version it should download (or rejects the download if incompatible).   A more technical response can be found in the Apple MDM Protocol documentation [here].   There are three reasons I can think of that a prior version would install:  - You had an iOS version that was incompatible with the latest app version  - You switched from B2B to VPP or Custom upload to VPP  - You have a caching server in play which had not updated, but the meta data had already reached the device   I hope that helps.   Thank you, Peter James ... @beks88    I completely agree - it is a horrible approach.   Here is the kicker that explains it all... Apple pride themselves on privacy and without this inbuilt protection the authorities could gain access to locked devices. This is why you see articles come up time and time again between certain US authorities and Apple over gaining access to devices. The amusing this here however is that the authorities are just giving Apple more coverage / gaining more consumer trust...   I only mention the above as this is unlikely to change going forward, unless Apple consider DEP enrolled devices company owned (who nearly always have 'right to search' data/physical clauses) enough to give companies this control. Hi @beks88 ,   If you are going to iOS12 from a prior major build it will require user interaction.   VMAirwatch also assumes there is no device lock. And how they achieve this is by scheduling the update command to be sent to the device at a later time. This is not Apple doing this but VM AirWatch.   The Meraki feature that may achieve this would be the DoNotDisturb that I previously linked, although I have not tried iOS updates myself.   Thank you, Peter James ... Hi @beks88 ,   In expanding the answer by @sshort; Page 77 of the Apple MDM Protocol documentation states that the install later command is only available for MacOS.   MDM Protocol Documentation   If you really need to do this, I would:  - Day 1 morning remove any lock requirements and push 'Clear Lock' on all devices (individually)  - Day 1 midnight push iOS update  - Day 2 Re-apply the lock profile to force a new PIN is set    However, if you are upgrading from iOS10/11 to 12 the end-user will be required to manually press Next to get past the update screens.  Thank you, Peter James ... Hi @MMoss,   Thanks for taking a look. And you might be on to something about iOS 12.1.1 being the only signed version available at the moment. But even when iOS 12.1 was still signed (24 hours ago) no choice appeared in both iOS update commands places.   @MerakiEmployee - Could any clarify be given here?   Looks like Apple are looking to kill iOS 12.0 and 12.1 quickly given the comments by the jailbreak community.
