I can't speak for Meraki, but 6GHz (Wi-Fi 6E) requires WPA3 or better. Meraki's current implementation of iPSK does not support WPA3, so that is why you are running into that.  ... View more

With the MR44 and MR46 model, you should really be running 28.X at minimum as there are many improvements and bug fixes for Wi-Fi 6 models. I would wager that the devices are still functional, and are only losing cloud connectivity which was an issue I was dealing with myself, and it was a known problem (bug) that Meraki support had a RCA case opened for that they attached my cases to.   Your specific issue with the devices rebooting or showing cloud connectivity was fixed in 28.7+.   AP may lose Cloud connectivity for an interval of time (Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E APs) ... I saw the pop-up for the new dashboard and already knew it was going to be a huge mistake to try it out, so I didn't bother. Glad to see I was right lol.  Dear Meraki, please stop coming up with solutions looking for a problem. Did anyone even ask for a new UI or is this just like idle hands are the devils workshop type of thing. We don't need a new UI. We need you to make minor tweaks to the one we already know and love, like uptime on devices etc. Please don't reinvent the wheel 😃 ... View more

And actually now that I look at it further, I think its a dashboard cosmetic issue.   If I check the SSID, the value that was all uppercase and is now all lowercase is there, and it is telling me that 'No APs matched'.  If I change it to all uppercase like my tag/SSID are configure for, it will show the correct number of access points that match.   However, since its telling me that none match, but its still 'working', it leads me to believe its cosmetic. I never bothered going back to fix it because I might be wasting my time if Meraki breaks it again. ... View more

I have noticed the same issue, where the tag (previously all CAPS by me) was converted to all lowercase. I thought it would be an issue, but its never caused the SSID's to stop broadcasting.   In fact, if I hover over an SSID that isn't enabled on the AP, it indicates that the SSID will only broadcast if the tag is enabled, and the tag name it shows is in all lowercase.   It does not seem to matter if its all lowercase or all uppercase. I think in your situation, its possible and unfortunate, that you have a mixture of uppercase and lowercase in the word itself that might be causing your issue.   I have not run into any problems with all my uppercase tags getting converted to lowercase (thank the Lord). This would have be like the nightmare from before when Meraki accidentally deleted ALL floorplans on all Orgs by mistake. ... View more

@Michael_Singer    Thanks for replying and being aware of the community feedback.   I saw this today, which might interest you:   "Is Meraki still selling antennas? I could barely find the page that had AP's on it but it seems impossible to find the page for antennas."   As for other improvements, a comparison feature would be nice so that I can choose two access points I'm trying to compare, and see the differences side by side. So when I first bought the MX67 model, the max bandwidth (and still stated on the MX Family Datasheet), is 450Mbps.   I'm creating a new site today with an MX67 and I just noticed the max bandwitdth for the WAN interfaces can now go up to 600Mbps. I checked all my previously built sites, and they show this:     When I click on the 'simple' button, it gives me the option to increase it to 600Mbps.     The only other MX I have is the MX84, which can still only go up to 500Mbps.   All my MX units for all sites are running firmware version 15.44, and I don't see any notes about it being increased.   Anyone else seeing this? ... Your option 1 is 'currently connected' clients Your option 2 is also current clients or total for the last 24 hours.   There used to be a way I could see how many clients connected over time. Like I could click an AP and check the RF tab and see that at 2pm there was a big meeting because say 80 clients connected to the AP, meeting ended at 3pm and the client count went back down to 10.  It was a graph/chart format. I can't find that anymore. ... View more

I've tested putting an internal model AP (similar to MR70 with antenna on the inside of the AP) and inside one of these PVC enclosures and didnt notice any difference. The antenna are inside of the AP's plastic already which I imagine is even thicker than the enclosures. MR70 might be the best way to go.    As for vandalism, I mean, at a certain point if someone REALLY wants to get in, then they'll find a way. Aluminum or PVC, not sure it will matter if someone is that determined. ... View more

What model outdoor AP are you using?   Your description is a little confusing, but from what I gather you want Wi-Fi to go in all directions, but you can't achieve this with the patch/sector antenna that Meraki offers.  The issue I personally have with the Meraki outdoor access points is that they have broken up the radios and connectors instead of combining them like other vendors.  This means there are (2) ports for 2.4GHz and another (2) ports for 5GHz. You can buy either single-band antenna, one for each radio, or the dual band model. The issue though is that if you want both bands to function, you have to buy (2) antennas, and make sure you point them the same direction as best you can.  It's always seemed like an 'odd' look to me when I see two antenna connected to one AP.   Why they won't create an antenna that has 4-leads and that way you only need (1) antenna, is beyond me.   Here is a list of FAQ from Meraki regarding antenna: https://documentation.meraki.com/MR/Other_Topics/Frequently_Asked_Questions_regarding_Cisco_Meraki_Antennas   In addition, what you 'could' do is simply use a 3rd party vendor for your antenna. Acceltex or Ventev are the two top competitors. If you purchase an antenna from them, you only need (1) because they sell antenna with the correct number of leads. Keep in mind though that if you go this route, support won't be able to provide normal 'full' support if you run into issues, and you also have to ensure that your not exceeding your EIRP for your country code/region/regulations.    If you use a 3rd party antenna, you can buy one that is omni-directional (like the MA-ANT-20), but the connector will be inside the casing and secure, and the antenna mounted outside. Or even better, get the one that has the omni mounted to the enclosure already.     https://ventevinfra.com/search-by-radio/?type=230&manufacturer=242&model=5235 ... View more

Yeah pretty much what I have reverted to doing. That and having to go to eBay to get actual multiple/side-view/back-view high quality photos of the devices since the website only ever seems to have thumbnail quality image of their products. Sometimes I want and need to see the back of switches to confirm power connections and stuff. I really hate how they don't have photo's of their products.
