What are some must-do things going with just the explorer pass?

So who all here is going this year to Cisco Live here in the states? I have been wanting to go for as far back as I can rember but once again this year its sounds like management doesn't like the cost. How has everyone been able to justify the cost of attending.. With our company going more and more towards full-stack Meraki at all our locations I'm finding it hard convincing them to spend the $2295 in conference fees.

With the MX84 and MX100, you can only have 2 WAN uplinks.. there is a spot for a USB cellular modem for failover WAN Link... https://documentation.meraki.com/MX/MX_Overviews_and_Specifications/MX84_Overview_and_Specifications According to Meraki's sizing guide, it doesn't look like any of the MX's allow 3 WAN uplinks ... https://meraki.cisco.com/lib/pdf/meraki_datasheet_mx.pdf

A few questions: I know you said DNS is working but I just throwing out ideas. 1. Where is your DNS server living? Does each location have its own DNS and is everything replicating or do you just have one central server? 2. Where is DHCP Running? Server or MX .... if on MX do you have DNS pointed to the proper Server? 3. How does your Route Table look on your MX... all the routes up?

You should be able to just go to organization>Inventory and un-claim the AP's you want to move then re-claim in your new ORG... This will move the ap you will have to reach out to support to move the license I believe if it can be done.

@Einstein I would try what @PhilipDAth suggested point your browser at the IP address.. remember to be on the same network.. also this will only work if you are not using NAT and not using client or LAN isolation.

Thinking it over I think the easiest way is a mac address filter... I already have all the mac addresses in a spreadsheet so it would not be too hard to do.

@E2Emmett Where are you located in the world? that may be a big factor too... the documentation I linked to earlier has all the carriers listed for the US and Worldwide. Again It is the same modem that's in the MX67/68's so you should be good.

No, because all the phones are connected to an MR30H I can only assign one VLAN per port unlike with switches. (Voice Vlan is 200)

We have over 130 SIP phones throughout the hotel... 99% of them are plugged into an MR30H so if i could find a way to do as layer 7 firewall rule to only allow SIP traffic thought that would work... but all i see is deny layer 7 rules ... is there i can do a Deny Any rule then an alow for SIP?

Hello Everyone, I have a Full Stack Meraki deployment at one of my locations. We have a voice network with several SIP phones deployed through the building... I'm trying to figure out the best way to keep people from plugging their computers into these phones and getting past my firewall policies... I can't do anything physically to the devices this must be done via policies... I was thinking of group policy but wasn't sure if there is a better way...

@PhilipDAth I was wondering if that was he was asking... @AdrianH I agree with @PhilipDAth just place a simple 2dBi antenna on the 2.4Ghz port. Disabling the 2.4 Ghz does not turn it off just keeps anyone from being able to use it.. I found these solutions other people have done.

@Merakibgp are you looking for Client information or Log Files? Event logs you can drill down a more exact time.

You can just do this in the settings under Wireless>Access Conntrol>Wireless Options There you can change the settings per SSID. If you are looking to do this on a per AP levle you can use RF Profiles and AP Tagging. https://documentation.meraki.com/MR/Radio_Settings/RF_Profiles

Do you have the ports configured correctly? How are you passing DHCP traffic on your MR? You can tie your ports to your SSID so they will have the same config as your SSID.

Since the AP's are not in the same area you may be ok but I still would be worried about devices seeing both ap and jumping back and forth and dropping. Hopefully, someone else can chime in but I think you should be good.

There was already a post about this.. It may be ok as long as you don't use 2 different antennas on the same AP. but from what everyone is saying I would not recommend it. https://community.meraki.com/t5/Wireless-LAN/Can-we-mix-two-types-of-antenna-sector-antenna-and-omni-antenna/td-p/2611
