When setting up Cisco Meraki equipment for the first time, what information do we need before we proceed?

Hi @menyarito , what eqpt are you deploying?


Firstly, do you have an upstream firewall?  If so you’ll need to open up certain firewall ports to allow the Meraki eqpt to register out to the cloud.  You can find that information in your dashboard in the Help section.

we deploying Meraki MX68W.

When setting up Cisco Meraki equipment for the first time, we can say that we need an administrator account to access the Meraki dashboard?

so you’re setting up an MX device?

 

Have you received your eqpt and license from Meraki? Have you created a new Organisation and Network for your company and site in the dashboard?

Yes.

 

Can we conclude that to configure Cisco Meraki equipment for the first time, we need:
1. Cloud Enterprise License.
2.Meraki Dashboard Account.
3. Meraki order number or the serial number of the device.
