What authentication does client use - WPA2 or WPA3?

What authentication does client use - WPA2 or WPA3?

Is there a way of telling what authentication method a particular client has used?

I have enabled WPA2 and WPA3 as below:

but how can I see in the dashboard if the client used WPA2 or WPA3?

My personal experience - I have experienced a lot of client incompatibilities with both WPA2 and WPA3 enabled.  So if you have a lot of devices, expect some of them to not be able to connect - at all.

 

This then means you can run WPA3 only if all of your devices support that - which is very unlikely.

 

Leaving the only option of continuing to use WPA2 at the moment.

Have you logged this with Meraki and if so what was their response?

I will report back on my experience when I make this change.

@PhilipDAth  Just thought I would let you know that I have migrated over 500 clients across 9 sites in the US and Europe without any issues.

 

Here are the settings I now have:
