CW9171 - that might finally deliver on the promise of many small 6GHz cells to fully realise the benefits of the band.

For a low end device, that is even positioned below the 9172, I would expect (fear) it to be a two band AP.

As long as it is 5/6 then I'm okay with that.  If Cisco release a new AP that is 2.4/5 only then they deserve to fail, so I really hope nobody is that stupid! 🙏

I would expect it to follow suit of the previous 2 generations of low end, MR20 & MR70 then the 28 and 78 with full spectrum minus dedicated scanning radio. 

The only way I might consider a 5/6 GHz only device would be with iot AND scanning radios with 1G interfaces.

IMO, there are just too many garbage devices out there that only support 2.4. I cant see them ditching this radio and excluding the low-end consumer base. If someone is looking on the low end, chances are they have invested HEAVILY on other low end wireless devices that are almost always 1x1:1 and 2.4 only. A tough sell indeed.

Hi colleagues. does someone knows if this new 9174 will have 2 Ethernet ports for dual link (agregation) and dual shared power, like the 9178 but just with 'less radios' ?

I cannot imagine it will as the 9176 only has a single port.

The FRA kills 6GHz in favor of two more spacial streams on 2.4. I have exactly zero situations where I would need that.

The datasheet seems to suggest that you get 2x5+1x6 instead of 2.4,5,6?

Hmm, I was referring to this paragraph:

"4x4 uplink/downlink MU-MIMO with four spatial streams (5 GHz, and 6 GHz), 2x2 uplink/downlink MU-MIMO with two spatial streams (2.4 GHz) (or)

4x4 uplink/downlink MU-MIMO with four spatial streams (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz)"

YES YES YES FINALLY an external antenna model!
Now we still need an outdoor model that is not the stadium model.
And we need one that can supports 2 separate antennas like the C9120AXE and C9130AXE can with the DART connections.
