MSP wont give information to client

We have a future client who is trying to get information about the inhouse Meraki devices from there current MSP.  There MSP has let there Fortigate licenses lapse and has told the future client that they are out of compliance on the Meraki devices but will not give them the date when the 30 days started.  Is there any options besides scrapping the current system and starting from scratch.

All we want is when the 30 days went into effect.

They don't sound like a particularly helpful MSP.

If you have any type of Administrator account to the Meraki dashboard, you should be able to retrieve this information yourself.
Assuming you don't you might be a bit stuck. Support will only be able to help you so far if you can't prove affiliation/ownership of the organization/network.

Who owns the equipment?  The MSP or the client?

If they're refusing to provide information, the MSP almost have to be the owners of the hardware. If that's the case, Refer to the contract you signed with the MSP and see if they have an obligation to provide you with that kind of information (which likely not). Only option is if you have a login and permissions for Meraki you can obtain that information regardless of your status. If not, then you'll likely have to start from scratch.

What difference does it make right now? if it is lapsed, it is lapsed.

Depending on what type of licensing you have, co-term or PDL, will determine when, how, and if your devices stop working. if the network operating is key to your business,  I would sort out / prioritize the licensing first and then do a post mortem and put processes in place to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Another problem is that if you can't see the date the licensing expired, you most likely will not be able to add new dashboard keys for licensing renewal.

If the client owns the hardware, I would certainly start a support request journey for them to get admin access to the organisation. If they don't own the hardware, then perhaps time for a hardware refresh/order.

In any case, doesn't sound like a helpful MSP.
