Issue connecting to wired device via WAP

Hi All,

I'm currently connected to my WiFi (MR42 AP), trying to connect to my hardwired NAS (Connected to a MS125-24P). The MR42 is in bridge mode. The issue is I cannot connect to my NAS web interface on port 5000 from my laptop when connected to the WiFi - but works when I plug into the MS125-24P.

Simple single subnet - single vlan network.

Would there be something inherent on the MR42 preventing my laptop from connecting to a web interface on port 5000? There's no policies that I can see causing this but maybe I'm not looking in the right place.

I'm able to connect to other devices via port http/port 80 with no issue.

Thanks in advance

Kind of a big deal

I’m going to guess your wireless SSID is configured for guest access which does not allow access to the wired network at default.

if you use bridged mode it should work for you.

Getting noticed

there is a place to set what vlan (SSID) the wired connector is supposed to operate as

Should be under Network-wide > Configure > General > Device configuration
