Device not connecting to MR46 AP

We have just replaced a couple of EOL MR32 ap's in one of our workshops with MR46's and we have an old pc with a Realtek RTL8192CE card that will not connect to them at all, it always connects to the one of the remaining MR32's that is almost out of range and so disconnects constantly. I have tried changing minimum bit rate settings and channel widths on the profile as well as the NIC itself but nothing is working. Figured getting a newer WiFi card will fix the issue but just wondered what the underlying difference is that it won't see these AP's at all?

Make sure the nic has latest drivers

You can try disable wifi ax in the meraki dashboard wifi profile.

This.

Your could also try deleting the WiFi config off the device and then trying to attach again.

Failing that deactivate the wireless card and use a USB wifi adaptor instead?
