Client endlessly roaming between bands

I've got a user who is complaining about slow or poor wifi. The telemetry from the client history of the AP shows the device is roaming constantly between 2.4 Ghz and the 5 GHZ bands. Is this something I should address at the AP or the client? A little more background, the user was at his desk the whole time.

I would update the wireless driver on the client first.

Maybe the user also has another device (like a phone) that he can connect to the wifi at that location to see how that behaves

I agree with @ww .  Also, you should ask the question, do you really need 2.4Ghz?  If the answer isn't a strong "yes" - turn off that band.

I agree with Phil, disable 2.4 if you can, was the best decision I ever made with Wifi.
