Hi Community:
I'm confused with an implementation.
I've installed and configured a Cisco Meraki solution, I have MX100, MS 425 and nine access points MR 53.
My bandwidth is 100 Mbps.
Everything is working, however when I connect to the switch via ethernet my bandwidth is 98 Mbps download, but when I connected via wireless my bandwidth is about 9-15 Mbps.
The network isn't in production, yet.
Access Points have full coverage and the assign channels are in automatic.
Any idea what can be the problem?
Any suggestion?
Thanks in advance.
does the throughtput test on the AP gives you +/- 100Mbps?
any errors on the switchport of the AP your connected?
did you try other cliënts?
is the current utilization of the AP's low?
when your client is connected and you check the AP, What channel is the client on?
Hi
Thanks for your replay:
does the throughtput test on the AP gives you +/- 100Mbps?
A: Yes up to 90 Mbps.
any errors on the switchport of the AP your connected?
A: No errors.
did you try other cliënts?
A: Yes, same issue.
is the current utilization of the AP's low?
A: it is normal.
when your client is connected and you check the AP, What channel is the client on?
A: channel 6 and 11.
On a wireless client, go to my.meraki.com in a browser. How is the signal? How does the built in speed test work there? Look at the neighbor utilization at the bottom of the page and see if it looks okay.
Disable the 2.4Ghz band.
Hi
Thanks for your replay.
I have clients working with equipments in 2.4 ghz.
If I disable 2.4 ghz band, those clients will have problem to connect to wireless.
enable band steering.
set minimum bitrate to 12 or up.
make sure your client driver are up to date.
you could also make a seperate ssid for 5ghz only.
Hi.
enable band steering.
A: Enabled.
set minimum bitrate to 12 or up.
A: Configured to 12 or up
make sure your client driver are up to date.
A: drivers are up to date.
you could also make a seperate ssid for 5ghz only.
A: 5ghz is configured, 2.4 ghz is disable
The result is the same, I receive 15 Mbps, my bandwidth is 100 Mbps.
there is no shaping rule for client or ssid under your traffic shaping rules?
Hi.
Traffic shaping rule is not configured. (unlimited)
Please show me the RF spectrum page output. May be there is soo much overlapping which is causing this issue.
Please set Band-steering.
