Meraki Supported Antenna Chart

At one point today I found myself needing a quick overview of supported antennas for different Meraki APs.

Rather than trawling through all the datasheets every time, I've compiled this chart.

Let me know if there are any errors..

Information in the chart is based on current datasheets..

I’m pretty sure the MR84 supports the Cisco stadium antenna as well though, but it’s not in the datasheets, so I opted to leave it out.

It is mentioned unter "ordering information" in the MR84 data sheet:

Hm

MA-ANT-23 datsheet doesn't mention MR84 as supported, but the MR84 data sheet says that MA-ANT-23 antenna is supported.
Perhaps @CarolineS or @MerakiDave can shed some light on this? Perhaps the data sheets need a refresh.

@rhbirkelund - I'll pass this on to the appropriate team! Thanks for the heads up.

Hi Everyone

This technically works if all antennas are the same. (using that antenna)

However, you would lose 5Ghz band which is a big drawback.

You can find more info 🙂

You should never use single-band antennas on a dual-band antenna port. It will work only for that single band and you will have bad behaviors everywhere else.

All antennas in these kind of APs should be the same.
