The Meraki Community is a peer-to-peer channel to help people find answers, solve problems, and get the most out of their Cisco Meraki products and services.
While our community is aimed at Meraki customers and partners, we welcome everyone with an interest in cloud-managed IT, as long as you observe these community rules:
1. Be respectful
Respect people's time and attention by asking well-thought-out questions and sharing what you've learned so far in your experimentation or prior research. Search first to see if a topic already exists, or if your question has an answer. Respect people as individuals by keeping your tone positive and your comments constructive. Hate speech and prejudice will not be tolerated and are grounds for immediate banning.
2. Be relevant
Make sure your contributions are relevant to the mission of the community and to the specific category or board where you post. To avoid fragmenting discussion, please do not post duplicate messages in different areas of the community. If you have a new question, start a new thread rather than interrupting a conversation. Please post in the language appropriate to the board (e.g. Portuguese in Tópicos in Português, English elsewhere).
3. Appreciate others
Show your gratitude to those who have helped or inspired you. If you find a contribution helpful, please give it kudos accept it as a solution to your problem. Kudos & solutions will help boost the value of contributions, making them easier for others to discover and enhancing the reputation of their authors.
4. Obey the law and keep your word
Don't post anything that would violate any law, any contractual agreement that you have made (copyright, trade secret or otherwise), or nondisclosure agreements to which you are a party. We won't tolerate any discussion of activities that break the law, including (but not limited to) drug use, hacking or piracy.
5. Protect privacy - yours and others'
Don't share anything about yourself or your organization that you would not want to see on a road-side billboard. Share your own email if you wish, but don't post the contact information of others or any content that you receive in one-to-one communications without the author’s consent.
6. Remember, this is user-generated content
You'll find plenty of good advice here, but remember that your situation, configuration, or implementation may vary from that of the individual sharing a solution. Some advice you find here may even be wrong. Apply the same good judgment here that you would apply to information anywhere on the Internet.
7. No wheelin’ & dealin’ (aka prospecting or advertising)
By all means, if it’s relevant to the conversation, share information about products and services you love. But please don’t use the Meraki Community to prospect or advertise. Our moderators will put the kibosh on that. If you have something you want members to join, participate in, or buy, ask us first.
8. Moderator rights
Cisco Meraki reserves the right of its moderators to edit, move, block or remove discussions, signatures or images that they consider inappropriate or disturbing to our community. We may also ban any member at our sole discretion. We will always communicate with you via private messages to provide coaching or inform you of a decision. We ask that you do the same if you need to comment on a moderation action as to not disrupt the rest of the community. Don’t hesitate to send us a private message.
9. Updating of the guidelines.
These guidelines are subject to update without notice. We urge members to check these guidelines on a regular basis. By using these forums, you agree to follow these rules as well as the complete community Terms of Use and the Meraki website Terms of Use.
The Meraki Logo and Meraki Employees
You will notice that some community members have a Meraki logo next to their names () - this means they are Meraki employees.
Like you, they are members of the community, and we encourage them to share their knowledge and opinions here.
