Using 3rd Party Optics with MS Series Switches

Hello Experts!

we are building a new network for a FREE Hospital through a Non-Profit and going to implement Meraki Switches there.Keeping the cost in mind, we wanted to check if we can plug in non-meraki 3rd party SFP/Optics instead.

Would 3rd party optics be compatible with Meraki Swithces?

Are there any limitations?

Kindly Advise.

Regards and Gratitude!

Kind of a big deal
Kind of a big deal

Meraki switches will accept 3rd party transceivers.

However be aware that your mileage may vary based on the 3rd party vendor, and for link specific issues, Meraki support may not assist further until you validate the issue occurs with their transceiver.

I'm using a mix of Meraki and 3rd party optics and can confirm they are working OK.
