Do MS support only OSPF & static route right ?

Hi,

 

Yes. MS supports OSPF and static routes. I believe there are design and technical considerations behind. Also, switches are mostly internal devices and not used in perimeter often.

 

Whereas MX supports protocols even BGP, as it is expected to be a perimeter device.

Meraki's general appoach is to maximise simplicity and use of open standards in a LAN environment, at user access / aggregation layers, for which MS products are designed.

Be aware too that layer-3 routing functionaity varies between the MS switch ranges.  Check the datasheets for routing support

For OSPF you need an MS250 or better.

 

@GreenMan , this information should probably be in the MS family data sheet as well to make this more obvious:

People are more likely to search for "OSPF" rather than "dynamic".
