Named VLAN for port config

Hi there,

Is there any reason why Meraki does not provide the ability to select a named VLAN from a per network list to configure VLANs on ports? This would help keep things consistent and simple.
The admin would just select the name and the matching VLAN is configured on the port, no more remembering VLAN IDs. With Cisco Catalyst, VTP helps here for consistency.

Regards

MS firmware version 15 has named VLANs for RADIUS assignment. Not tested it, but perhaps there will also be a way implemented to use it on Port assignments. Did you give feedback on the corresponding dashboard page?

I agree.  Everyone would like this feature.

This would be nice. I have to keep an document with all my VLANs on Meraki networks.

On Cisco "classic" switches I can send the "show vlan" command to see my VLANs.

What else can we do to push such a simple tool/feature?

Order 100k switches and tell the Meraki SE this order depends on the availability of named VLAN assignments.
