Hi @itash , is this a new deployment or have the errors just suddenly appeared?  Also, are they new devices connected to the switchports?

You could try replacing the patch cables at either end. Also try moving the port on the patch panels to see if it’s a structural cable issue. Could also be a NIC issue in your endpoints.

@DarrenOC this error just came out of nowhere, previously I was using a Meraki MR12 Access Point then I replaced it with a Ruije AP820L-V3 Access Point

but previously there was no problem but recently there have been many problems, is the problem just with the configuration or do i have to replace the cable

I get a lot of emails about this case

Getting noticed

Have you ran the "cable test" function on each of those switch ports to identify a cabling issue like @DarrenOC recommended?

CRC.jpgI don't think this is a problem with the cable, because this case only happened now

What kind of device is plugged into this port?

It might be using energy efficient Ethernet (EEE) to reduce power consumption during periods of low demand.

The AP you have installed seems to have two ports on it, an RJ45 that should connect at a speed of at least 1Gb or a 2.5Gb SFP port.  Which are you using and have you manually set the port on the switch or AP to only connect at 100Mbps?  As @DarrenOC said, if not then the cabling is faulty somewhere between the switch and the AP.

I have changed it to manual and it is 100Mbps full duplex.

It is reporting that only 2 of the 4 wire pairs are connected.

Pairs 3 and 4 are not connected up to anything.

I use an external POE adapter so it doesn't affect pair 3 and pair 4.

Gigabit connectivity requires all four pairs, if one is faulty then only 100Mb can be reached.  If you bypass the PoE adapter and connect a laptop or similar, does it connect at 1Gb?  What model is the switch?  What PoE adapter are you using?

If you can't connect at 1Gb then there is a problem with the cabling.  Do you have a cable tester?  What category of cabling is it CAT5 unshielded etc.?

Did the MR12 connect at 1Gb?

Previously when using MR12 we set it to auto so maybe it was set to 1Gb
