Re: Migration from Dell switch to Cisco switch

you just add the ports to the correct vlan @ switch > switch ports

if you want to relay, you go to switch > routing and dhcp

Re: Migration from Dell switch to Cisco switch

meraki is gui based. so you create a vlan, and enable dhcp service or forwarder on that vlan.

Re: Migration from Dell switch to Cisco switch

Thanks fo the answer. sorry we oreded and we haven't got them yet.

So, you mean I have 2 options :

1 enabled DHCP   or forwarder on vlan : with Bonjour Forwarding ?

Kind of a big deal

Re: Migration from Dell switch to Cisco switch

Is your Dell switch acting as a layer 3 gateway for these vlans?

What is doing DHCP in your network?

Re: Migration from Dell switch to Cisco switch

The if the Dell switches only operate at layer 2 then you only need to configure the VLANs and nothing else.

Re: Migration from Dell switch to Cisco switch

As mentioned Meraki is a GUI based system, there is no CLI. I suggest you familarise your self with the Meraki Dashboard before you jump into swapping the equipment over just to be safe, You dont want to rush things if you dont havea good understanding of Meraki.

Good luck!
