MX84 Swaps

Hi All,

This weekend we will swap MX84s. We plan to use Method 1 on this link: https://documentation.meraki.com/MX/Other_Topics/MX_Cold_Swap_Replacing_an_Existing_MX_with_a_Differ...

1) Do you recommend the article to be accurate?

2) We are replacing previous MX84 with an MX84 that was configured previously on another network. Will the cold swap configuration overwrite the previous? Or do we have to manually remove that somehow?

Thanks all in advance,

Matt

if you previous uplinks where on dhcp and the one you are replacing is also, it should work. however i would factory reset it anyway before adding it to a network again.

It is recommended to restore the settings before adding to the network
