MS390 Power Stacking

Hello, anyone has a recommendation to connect power stack cables, on a stack of 3 MS390?

Current situation:

3 x MS390 connected and power on.

Do I need to power off the devices before connecting the power stack cables??

Please someone can advise.

Hello,

I would recommend following the stacking procedure mentioned here for MS390s
https://documentation.meraki.com/MS/Stacking/Switch_Stacks#Stacking_MS390s

Let me know if you have any concerns

thank you

@Karla the stack power feature comes from the Cisco 9300/3850 switches and on those you just plug a cable from one switch to the next and loop round at the end.  You can connect up to 4 switches in one loop.

To power up the switches you only need one power supply in one switch, but obviously need more to use PoE etc.

It is a fantastic system and one I *wish* was on the MS355s etc. In fact it's about the only 3850 feature I really miss.

Oh, and to be clear you can connect cables with switches on, but be aware that a switch with no power supply or power cable will power up as soon as you connect the first stackpower cable.
