L2 Switch ip address

Hi In cisco, for example, switch 2960, we use it as L2 switch and need to set up ip address so that we can access it. In Meraki switch, is there the same way to setup ip address? if so, where is the ip address setup? Thank you

Kind of a big deal

All Meraki switches are DHCP by default on the Mgmt interfaces. You can change this on the status page for each individual switch.

Thank you so much for your reply. Here are questions:

1. we are not allowed to setup static ip address for meraki switch? or we do not need to setup static ip address for it?

2. Is the DHCP server located at network level or Organization level? usually where is the DHCP located?

If the switch is behind an MX, most likley the MX is the DHCP server. If not then possibly a local server (Windows maybe)

Hi,

I understand @jdsilva has already highlighted the process for you however you may also refer to the following Url documenting the step by step process for "Assigning a Static IP Address" to Switches.
