Can vlan tags be preserved between a Meraki MX and a Cisco switch?

We have an office that wants to use two cisco small business switches with an MX64.  Can we add the meraki vlans to the cisco switch config and expect it to work properly?  Or do we need to keep all of the ports at native vlan 1?

Please let me know.

Thank you.

VLANs (802.1q) are a standard supported by just about every networking vendor.

When you tag a packet with a vlan on one switch, it will be honored by every other switch too

Yes a long as you create the VLAN on the SB switches you are fine. I have done exactly what you are trying to do at home with my MX and MS and a small business 10 port switch in my garage.

It wouldn't be much of a home network with VLANS 😂
