MV32 Spider in Dome

One of my cameras has a dead spider inside of it blocking the view of the camera. The outer shell doesn't seem to come off. The dust cover had already been removed; this spider is inside the inner dome closest to the lens. Is there a suggested method of cleaning it out?

I used to have a MV32 mounted outside here at home. It got some dust inside and settled to the middle of the dome and was visible. I took it down and gave it a little shake and fell out or at least moved somewhere else no longer blocking the lens.

You may want to start with that simple attempt. Not sure if there are any small openings on the camera to shoot some compressed air into it.

Interesting one, given it's not user serviceable you could try an RMA. If an RMA is declined I would approach your account manager as it's not your fault the design allowed insects to gain entry.

It's not like you can really mess up installation that would allow access. My guess is the spider managed to squeeze in via one of the mounting holes.

Whilst it isn't user-serviceable, it's also not an IP rated camera; as guarantees aren't provided for preventing ingress it likely wouldn't hit the criteria for replacement under an RMA. I'd agree with Ryan on dislodging any debris inside with some gentle percussive maintenance.

Maybe send in an army of ants to eat the spider?
