client VPN on 4G backup line

Hello Meraki community,

See if anyone can help me please , I have a question regarding client VPN configuration ,

if an MX with a main line WAN1 and a 4G backup router and the client VPN on the users PC  is configured with the Mx hostname (not the MX public IP) . would the client VPN tunnel still be working on the 4G backup line if the wan1 is down ?

Thank you in advance .

99% of cellular providers block inbound connections by default.  It is not likely to work.

I have never tested it before but It should have to work.

I am not a Cisco Meraki employee. My suggestions are based on documentation of Meraki best practices and day-to-day experience.

That would depend on your provider. Most providers have different APN's with and without nat.

You need to use a APN without nat/firewall
