Hi,
I'm trying to generate a report from Z3, I want to extract, as minimum, which applications are crossing the Z3, extract in PDF the same view as in CLIENTS sections where you can see the most user applications, so I can see a TOP10 most used applications in the network.
When I try to schedule o send an email with the report, (or put in a dashlet) the options isn't there.
There is a way to enable a full report or similar? Which options I have? If I "Download as CSV" the information from CLIENTS section, doesn't show all the applications, just the clients.
Thank you,
Hi @nanukanu
Have you looked under Organisation > Monitor > Summary Report
Then at the top of the page find the Network that your Z3 resides in and run the report.
I've just run one and I'm seeing Top Clients and Top Applications. This can be exported in Excel and also schedule to email the report.
Hi,
I see the top clients but no the top applications:
Can you share which information you are seeing?
Thank you,
Hi @nanukanu
And I see this across multiple different Orgs and Networks. Looks like you're selecting the wrong Network in your Summary Report page?
There is only one Network with one device.
Do you have more devices selected? Like MX or similar?
Can you show the report just for Z3 Device?
Thank you!
that output was from a network with just a Z3 in it.
Isn't possible... can you TAG the device and filter only by device? If I choose FW or Entire Organization I also saw the data but isn't related just with Z3.
Thank you ,
Hi @nanukanu Under Network-Wide > General > Configure - do you have Traffic Analyses enabled?
I believe that's your issue. I've just disabled on a network and I lose the Network application stats.
Hi,
It looks slighty different:
But yes, it looks enabled...and still doesn't show anything.
Thank you for your responses, very appreciate.
Firmware version? We're using 15.41.
Is your Z3 in a network with other devices?
My Z3 (15.41) is in a combined network with a switch and APs. The Applications are available:
Thanks @KarstenI
Hi,
Yes, but in my network it's just Z3, no other devices.
If it test other networks (where AP and SW exists) I can extract this information.
So... if only Z3 on the network, cannot extract this kind of information?
Related with the version: Current version: MX 14.53
Thank you!
hi @nanukanu , I also just have a Z3 in a network on its own and I'm able to see the application information. Have you tried upgrading the firmware on the device.
@nanukanu Here is a report (with data) from a network with just 1x Z3 in it on 15.41, applications clearly visible, what firmware are you on?
@nanukanu oops, I see you are on 14.53, I'd upgrade, you can always downgrade if you don't like it
Hi,
Just updated, still doesn't showing nothing... the option APPLICATION doens't appear as a eligible (if take a look on my screenshoot compared as yours).
Any other suggestion?
Thank you,
Hi @nanukanu , at this point I could suggest hitting the Z3 really hard to kick-start it into life. Or reaching out to Meraki support
@nanukanu I think the summary reports are in arrears, take a look tomorrow and make sure the time you select is since the upgrade was done.
