View LLDP or CDP information on MX device

One of my favourite features in the MR Access Points is when i display all my AP's on the dashboard, i can include the column for ETH1 LLDP

Is there a way to view LLDP or CDP neighbours on an MX device? IF not, consider this a wish!

There is no way to see this on an MX.

Please click the actual "Make a wish" button, these forums are not a substitute replacement for that. This one, along with other basic port level statistics, are something I would like to see.

While certainly the dashboard ought to expose the LLDP/CDP data, you can get at it via API.

Does that work on MXes? I always assumed it didn't... I guess I should have tried.

Yes it does. We only have MX's and it works like a charm.

For about 1 day there was an additional tab called Ports for each MX and it did contain this information (and more), unfortunately it had numerous errors for some MX models so the page was pulled, never to be seen again... 😢

This has been one of my asks for a few years. I want to know what is in the dang port on an MX! Have wished for it dozens of times.

The feature is still missing on the dashboard. I built my own tool, code is public and open source: https://github.com/routetonull/getMerakiNeighbor
