Replacement MX100 to MX90

Good day.

I have a Meraki MX100 that has hardware problems, can it be replaced in my organization by a Meraki MX90? The license model is Co-Termination and license type Advance Security.

Hi @heriberto087 , if support have identified the fault and resolved are they shipping you a replacement MX100?  In the meantime, if you have a spare MX90 then yes you can swap this out and utilise the 30 day grace period

Hi @heriberto087 , do you have a support ticket open and have they verified that you have hardware problems?  If so then it’s likely they’ll do a like for like replacement.

 

If you swap yourself then you’ll need to purchase an MX90 license as well.

They already solved the ticket for me, the restart is a hardware problem, since the chipset is damaged and the hardware generates a panic restart.

Regarding the MX90, you are right, a license is required for that team, but if it could be added to the organization for a grace period of 30 days.

If Meraki support already approved the replacement, they took several days to respond, so I was looking for that solution with the MX90 instead of the MX 100.

I will proceed to consider the case solved. Thanks.
