Remote users not getting Windows updates when using client VPN

Like most of the world, I have users that took their computers home to work.  They are connecting to the network using the Meraki Client VPN. They are unable to get Windows updates from our WSUS server.  Anyone have any suggestions?

As it turns out, I had an AD replication error between our 2 domain controllers. I resolved that issue and it appears to have solved the problem.

Can they ping the WSUS server by IP and by name?

Error errors from the event log?
