Meraki Block Page Not Displaying for HTTPS Traffic

I'm having trouble getting Meraki block pages to display correctly for HTTPS traffic. I've configured a Layer 7 firewall rule to deny access to a specific website, but when users try to access it via HTTPS, they see a generic browser error ("Website can't be reached") instead of the Meraki block page.

What could be causing this, and how can I ensure the custom block page is shown?

This is expected behaviour.  The MX has no certificate to be able to display an HTTPS page.

This is a vendor agnostic problem it's because of how HTTPS works. Unless you are doing deep packet inspection you won't receive a splash page.

I would suggested using the URL http://example.com or set users homepage to be an internal URL that has an HTTP redirect to Google or something.
