MX84 & MX100 Firewall Throughput Limit Increase / Models Coming ?

With the newer Meraki Models Coming Out & 1GB Internet Circuits becoming affordable

  • I feel Meraki needs to either come up with a Firewall Model in-between the MX84 & MX100 that has more throughput, with a price point that doesn't break the bank Maybe an MX 87 ?
  • If the Current MX84 & MX100 Underlaying hardware is capable, release a firmware upgrade that will take the MX84 from 500 to 650 & the MX100 from 750 to 1GB

Agreed, I am not sure why MX units have such low throughput compared to other vendors. I'd be happy with a basic unit that has a throughput of 1Gbps and only has copper ports.

Actually, given how London Gigabit Ethernet connections are now sub-£50/month, and how cheap it is to fit 10Gb Ethernet/Thunderbolt3 connectors, there is a case to be made for an affordable 10Gb switch/security appliance for home office use.
