MX65 Firmware upgrade limit

The MX65 firmware cannot be upgraded after version 18.200, the new available version available is 19.x.x, so it is time now to replace this MX65?

Yes Please replace as new developments will not be done on the MX65 as they are part of End of life devices and may get you more vulnerabilities in future in case you stayed with MX65.

Hi EdwinPinto,

Welcome to Meraki Community 🙂

Point 1 - Engineering level support, if available, will only be provided for critical security vulnerabilities until the hardware reaches its EOST date and when reported to Cisco Meraki Technical Support.

Point 2 - You can check the firmware restrictions here - https://documentation.meraki.com/General_Administration/Firmware_Upgrades/Product_Firmware_Version_R...

  • Max. runnable version for MX65 - MX 18.1***. In this case the latest firmware version is MX18.107.12 - containing latest security updates
  • Go To Organization --> Firmware upgrade --> Select any MX firmware version "Release Notes"

Point 3 - Warranties and End-of-Life Information -https://documentation.meraki.com/General_Administration/Other_Topics/Returns_(RMAs)_Warranties_and_E...

Point 4 - What are my options if I want to upgrade devices?
From the dashboard go to ‘Help’ > ‘Get help’ > scroll down to ‘Cisco Meraki Sales’ for contact information. The Cisco Meraki sales team will be able to better advise on the best suited model to replace your device with regards to your network requirements.
