HA with one IP Wan

Hello,

I looked for but I did not find this type of case.
I wish to set up a high availability with 2 MX68 but on the other hand, I have only one public IP and it must be on the MX.
I found how to do with several but not with only one.
My question is,
How do I do in the connections and the configuration of WAN?

Thanks

You need more public ip's

Or the router have to run nat, and provide you with 2 ports and private ip space

Or you have to place another nat router in between.

You could also wonder if you need ha if all other parts a SPoF

One option if you don't want to request more IPs from your ISP is to see if it's possible for their router to be configured as a private network and for them to do an outbound NAT to the internet.

This way you can configure the WAN IP of each MX with a private IP instead of a public one.

I'm not sure if that's clear?

You’ll honestly just find this easier if you can acquire a /29 from your ISP.

Thank you all for your answers. I will see to go to a /29
