SD-WAN Upgrade License assignment for Co-Term Organization

I sold an SDWAN+ upgrade license (LIC-MX-SDW-XL-3Y) for an HA pair of MX250 firewalls to a customer and got the license key for it today. My Cisco Distributor had to create a new SKU for this license, so that means this is the first one of these that they have ever sold. I added the license to the customer Co-Term Org and I could see it in the list of licenses, but could not see a way to assign it to the correct network. Turns out you have to use the Insight Tab on the left of the dashboard and there was a button under the Configure column for Licensing. When you click on the Licensing button there is now an option to assign an SDWAN+ license to a network. That's definitely a first for me, but it did work.

Here's the link to the documentation on this. I had to read through it several times before I found the part about using the Insight tab to assign the license to a network.

Hi there,

I experienced the same thing this week except that I was already using Insight on my networks. You can't assign a SDW+ LIC to a network already bound to a Insight LIC. You have to remove it first. A bit confusing
