Error Policy must be '0' or '1' when configuring port forwarding rule

Hi Community,

Got an error that I never seen before when I'm configuring a port forwarding rule on a MX.

pb_portforwarding.jpg

Simple rule :

Description : voice

Uplink : Internet2

Protocol : TCP

Public Port : 11443

LAN IP : 172.20.100.4

Local port : 443

Allowed remote IPs : Any

Error :

There were errors in saving this configuration:

  • Policy must be '0' or '1'

I don't use policies in this org...

Somebody has an idea ?

Many thanks,

Franck.

Kind of a big deal

Are you trying to create port forwarding rule? The configuration looks fine. Are you configuring another rule (such as the L3 rule) at the same time?

Also, can you show the firewall configuration page?

Well, It looks like a bug, so my suggestion is to open a support case.

On the traffic shaping page do you have any flow preferences or uplink selection rules set?

Ran into the same issue. Having a flow preference on the same subnet was causing the issue. Had to remove the flow preference to resolve.

@Ryan_Miles The "Policy must be '0' or '1'" error text could be improved! 🙂
