Connectivity test fail and impact on the performances

Hello, I would like to know if a Meraki MX64W connectivity test fail (or on 8.8.8.8 or other address) can impact on the existing packet latency. I noted that when I receive lost packet due to the connectivity ping fail, my traffic is delayed until 3 seconds and this cause timeout on my end to end Auto VPN application. The VPNs remain stable, not disconnection or route changing , but sometime traffic has been delayed . Could it have sense?

Kind of a big deal

If a simple ping/connectivity test is causing the circuit to have packet loss, then I would imagine virtually anything else normal traffic wise will cause even more trouble. ICMP is minimal traffic. Sounds like circuit issue to me

"I noted that when I receive lost packet due to the connectivity ping fail"

The lost packet was not 'due' to the connectivity ping fail, its the other way around. The ping failed because you have packet loss, back to the circuit having an issue in my opinion.
