Cloud Services
In case the Meraki cloud services are out of services. Will this have any kind of effect on a local network?
How will the configuration changes synchronize to other networks?

What happens if my network loses connectivity to the Cisco Meraki cloud?
Because of the Cisco Meraki out of band architecture, most end users are not affected if Cisco Meraki wireless APs, switches or security appliances cannot communicate with Cisco Meraki cloud services (e.g., because of a temporary WAN failure):
- Users can access the local network (printers, file shares, etc.)
- If WAN connectivity is available, users can access the Internet
- Network policies (firewall rules, QoS, etc.) continue to be enforced
- Users can authenticate via 802.1X/RADIUS
- Wireless users can roam between access points
- Users can initiate and renew DHCP leases
- Established VPN tunnels continue to operate
- Local configuration tools are available (e.g., device IP configuration)
While the Cisco Meraki cloud is unreachable, management, monitoring, and hosted services are temporarily unavailable:
- Configuration and diagnostic tools are unavailable
- Usage statistics are stored locally until the connection to the cloud is re-established, at which time they are pushed to the cloud
- Splash pages and related functionality are unavailable

Hi @kami,
Cisco Meraki uses cloud based management to mantain your gears, if the cloud was unable or not, the Meraki gears (MX, MS, MX, MV and SM) still working as well as previusly configured but dont send consume or client informations live.
All of Meraki solutions are able to save the metadata of your devices in itself and other information that will resend when dashboard are online again.
Unfortunely when you do not have connection with dashboard or your gears not connected to the internet, you are not able to change or modify the Meraki gears configurations.

em, thats a poor answer and doesnt address the question, sorry, even though i appreciate its out of date.
In the event of cloud connectivity loss (which is most commonly caused by a local ISP or connection failure), the Meraki hardware device will continue to run with its last known configuration until cloud connectivity is restored.
