Changing the subnet mask - what will happen to the VPN

I am new to Meraki.

We have two locations connected with a site to site VPN , MX's on both sides. The HQ side has a subnet of /22 and the remote is /24 on its LAN. I need to change the subnet mask at the remote site to /22 to add more subnets. I would also like to change the gateway IP to .1, it is currently .250

What will happen to the VPN if I change the subnet mask and the gateway IP? Will I have to reconfigure it, or will it see the changes and adjust on its own?

Thanks!

VPN will reconfigure itself automatically. Will it run without any hickups? Possibly not, so I‘d recommend performing this change with a planned (shortish) downtime.

Thank you! This will be done after hours, so downtime will not be a factor.

This makes the job much easier.

@Tokerau : I agree with @CptnCrnch there might not be any issue but take downtime for this change
