ASA to MX84 migration

We have old ASA firewalls that need to go. they have alot in them and i wanted to know if there was a tool to migrate the configs from the asa to the mx.

I'm not aware of such a tool. Depending on what is configured on your ASA, some things might even not be able to be migrated.

Best bet is export current ASA config and make it something comparable in the MX. Routes,VLANs, etc

Haven't used it, but a quick read of https://github.com/wifiguru10/Meraki_MX_Converter makes it look like it could potentially do you some good.

Wow, that script looks amazing @Nash!

 

Not as cool as that one, but I have a script that assists in migrating from other firewall platforms to Meraki.  You need to create all your objects and groups in a Excel/CSV file, and the rules in another text file.  Then it can import them all.
