Android device registers w. IP address

I recently enrolled two Samsung Galaxy S7Fe's (Model number SM-T738U) in our MDM.  Before enrollment, I changed the name of the device to TAB 146, and then went through the procedure.  After registering, the system name is the IP address that DHCP assigned it, rather than the name I gave it; not sure where the other name (172.20.10.2) is coming from.  Has anyone seen this behavior before?  If so, is there a way around it?  Other models seem to be ok

This happens when the SM app cannot determine the system/device name during enrollment, if we cannot determine other identifiers (such as name, system name etc) we'll fall back to using the IP address.

We have a bug / feature request internally for this particular issue, in the meantime, you can manually rename the device in Dashboard by clicking "Edit details"
