Need some basic questions and looking for some video training

Hi Meraki Community

I am new to this Meraki Z3 - I have to support users at work. I have configured few units, but that's not enough for me to understand other functionality of the device.  I have few questions listed here, need some help as how I can do it on Meraki dashboard. I understand that need to match with serial number

1) Need to deactivate device upon return - like to keep it on Dashbaord to assign to next user but remove the name or name it differently (no duplicate name) on dashboard.

2) Troubleshoot steps if device is really not working for user(s), Solid RED LED indication.

3) What parameters are commonly monitored when user is experiencing issue?

Please let me know if there is a video link  for this, step by step, if any.

Thanks!

1) You can remove  the z3  from the network and delete the network.  Your devices  wil stay  in your inventory  to assign  when creating a new network.

2) i dont about video's but here are some basic  troubleshooting steps https://documentation.meraki.com/MX/Other_Topics/Troubleshooting_a_Faulty_MX_Appliance_or_Z1_Telewor...

@Andy88  for troubleshooting you could use Insight if you are using web based app's i.e. O365 or GSuite.

I use Cisco Dashboard, not familiar with Insight. What is Insight? Thanks for replying.

@Andy88 Insight is an addiontal add on for monitoring web app connections made through a Meraki MX device.

Thank you for quick reply. There is one more thing I want to know is there a way to keep it on network and also keep the same name for all the one I have to deactivate?
