Do MSPs get a different type of Meraki Go accounts than a user who will have just one network?

Do MSPs get a different type of Meraki Go accounts than a user who will have just one network?

In some of the FAQs I saw some capabilities or limits which got me a bit confused and therefore this questions. Things like:

• The Router Firewall Plus allows you to use a single account to manage up to 5 different physical locations through the Meraki Go app or web portal.
• Any Meraki Go Company can manage up to 5 Sites. Once 5 sites exist within a company, no further sites can be created for that company.
• Managed Service Providers (MSPs), partners, installers, or any other group that installs Meraki Go can manage multiple companies.

As per the above points, does it mean that I can manage (1) just one network/site with a regular account, (2) can have up to 5 networks/sites if I have a Router Firewall plus in one of those 5 networks and (3) an MSP with MSP type of account (if there is something like that) can manage multiple companies with each company having a capability to have 5 sites?

Also, noticed in one of the Meraki go document that you can have a max of 50 Access points per account. Assuming there is a different type of account for MSPs, does that limit (50 APs per account) apply to MSP account as well?

Hello @S_D ,

The infrastructure breakdown works as follows:

  1. You can manage any number of Meraki Go Companies with a single email address / user account.
  2. Each Meraki Go Company can manage up to 5 independent sites.
  3. Each site can handle up to 50 Meraki Go hardware devices (GX/GS/GR).

The MSP can manage any number of Companies, and each Company can manage up to 5 sites.

These limitations are removed when upgrading to our Meraki Enterprise experience.

The Meraki Go MSP will, when logging in, be shown a list of Meraki Go Companies their email address is listed as an administrator with.

Further, you can easily create a new company from the web-app settings menu by clicking 'Create Company", which stands up a new and empty company with the currently logged in account.
